We often hear stories of people who rescue dogs from local shelters but in many cases, it is the dog that does the rescuing. That certainly was the case for the Hickey family, as their young son Jonny was having a difficult time after being diagnosed with autism.
The hickeys found an abused dog named Xena, it was being cared for at the ASPCA. After rescuing the dog, however, things began to change for the Hickey family and you will be amazed with how this dog made a difference in their life.
