Living with autism can be difficult, and for this young child, it has been a struggle for the majority of his life. His name is Joey and he was diagnosed with Asperger’s syndrome when he was seven years old. As he continued to grow older, he became less connected with the world around him and had trouble making friends while he was in school.
In an effort to find help for Joey, his mother began looking for a dog that would be perfect for him. As it turns out, the perfect dog showed up in a 60 pound pitbull that they rescued. Their story is touching.
