Most of us recognise that there are plenty of older dogs waiting in the shelter to be rescued but unfortunately, as they get older, the opportunities that they have of being rescued become fewer. Most people want a puppy so that they can raise them and train them from a young age. After all, you can’t really teach an old dog new tricks, can you?
Although it is a common statement that you can’t teach an old dog new tricks, it absolutely is not founded on any type of truth. If you have any doubts in that regard, this dog is going to change your mind. His name is Jackson, and he is a three-year-old Golden retriever who was adopted and he has one of the more impressive tricks up his sleeve. Amazingly, it only took one month for him to be trained in this way, and he wasn’t trained prior to being adopted.
Jackson knows plenty of tricks but the one most people love the most is when he sits outside of a department store. He refuses to move, because his owner told him to stay so he sits and waits for his return.
