People that volunteer in animal shelters are simply amazing, and will always get a round of applause and appreciation from me. To give up your time, energy and sometimes even financial assistance, for the service of animals is a truly noble thing to do, although I will admit I am sure they do gain a lot of pleasure from the experience.
A German Shepherd called Gemma was brought into the rescue centre where Jolene volunteered with 70 percent coverage of demodectic mange. Alone and no doubt in a lot of pain her original owners had dropped her to the shelter, rather than taking her to the vet. Jolene immediately stepped into the breach and volunteered to perform the required round the clock care, including but not limited to baths two to three times a day. She then convinced her husband to let her bring the dog home and everything was going well and Gemma started to gain weight, more so in one specific area. Yes, Gemma was indeed pregnant, and when you watch this video you will be touched by how this wonderful story ended.
