Apparently there is a type of fish called a dogfish, but the fisherman in this story were certainly not planning on catching any of those or the four-legged variety on this day.
They are simply out for some fishing when they suddenly hear a strange sound which does not sound fishy at all. (Please excuse the pun)
Upon further investigation, they become aware of a little pup who has been abandoned by the riverside possibly days ago. As they move closer to see what they can do, the dog realises that this may very well be his one chance at being saved, and starts to swim frantically towards the outstretched hands. Luckily for the dog his judgement was perfect and the good news is that now the dog has found his forever home and all is well that ends well.
