Dog Free After 9 Years In Shelter

There is no doubt that far too many animals spend their days in a shelter. Some of them are there for a short while but others may be there for an extended amount of time. In fact, there are some dogs who actually spend their entire lives in a shelter, and it is truly sad when you think about it. Fortunately, for this dog, relief came, even if it took a long time to get there.

This dog was in an animal shelter for 9 years without being adopted. If that seems like a long time, it certainly is! The dog was basically locked up for the majority of his life but that is about to change for him. Finally, a family stops but to give him a forever home and the dog is so happy, he can hardly contain his excitement!

Having a dog in the home provides many benefits. Not only do they provide unconditional love to their owners, there are also a number of health benefits to consider as well. For this dog, it actually works both ways. He was able to find a happy home after years of confinement and his new family got an awesome dog in return.
