Vets are always portrayed as being the friends of animals, willing to go that extra step and do whatever it takes to ensure the animal has the best chance of survival. This story certainly supports that viewpoint, although I would argue that this vet is an absolute legend and more dedicated than a lot of vets I have come into contact with. This badly neglected Pit bull dog was brought into the surgery at the end of the day looking emaciated, and with numerous health issues.
It was touch and go whether or not the poor little dog would make it. With understandable trust issues, it took the vet a lot of time end effort including climbing into the dog’s cage and eating breakfast with her, in order to build up some trust.
