We often hear about children that become attached to their pets. More than likely, we were attached to an animal when we were young as well. This young boy, however, shows remarkable courage in the fact that he took his dog along with him in the most difficult circumstances. It is a touching story on multiple levels.
You see, this young child is not only taking care of his dog, he is doing so as his family flees Syria looking for a better life. He couldn’t imagine leaving his dog in Syria, so the two of them walked over 300 miles together to find a safe haven.
