They say dogs are man’s best friend and stories like this just go to prove that saying correct.
A dog saved her owner’s life from a fatal house fire and is now fighting for her own life.
Owner Ben Ledford was found by firefighters on the floor with his boxer dog Carmen lying over his face – the dog’s attempt at protecting her owner from the smoke and flames.
“When the fire department did get to Ben, his dog was laying over his face protecting him” – Fire department
Sadly the owner, from Ohio, passed away after being taken to hospital but his heroic dog Carmen has been placed on a ventilator and is battling for her life.
A lot of dogs instinctively know when there is a crisis going on and so a lot of them do go to try to protect their owners. Dr Anderson
