There is an old saying that it is not the size of the dog in the fight, it is the size of the fight in the dog. Many of us have lived our lives by this motto, recognizing that we can accomplish great things, if we just put our mind and our heart to it. As it turns out, it is not only true of humans but as the saying goes, it is also true of our canine friends as well.
Take, for example, the dogs in this video. They are having a good, old-fashioned tug-of-war but the dogs the end of the rope are two 100 pound Bernese Mountain dogs but the one in the middle is a tiny dachshund.
It might seem as if the dachshund is doomed for failure from the start, but he doesn’t give up so easily. What he does is absolutely amazing and in the end, it is the little guy that is standing there holding the rope and wagging his tail.
