Being married to a police officer has to be a very stressful life. Every time your wife or husband goes off to work there is a possibility, no matter how small, that they may never return. Whilst that may be fine for the officers who signed up for the job and knew the risks entailed, the poor spouses are left at home worrying every time their partner goes out to do their job.
The wife of one of our police officers is a lady by the name of Tracey Mcmenamy and as well as loving her husband she is also a huge dog lover and a foster parent for the rescue organisation “Operation Paws For Homes”. When her rescue dog gave birth to ten puppies Tracey decided to name them after police officers who have died in the line of duty this year. Unfortunately, that number was 16 and she only had ten pups to name. However since the story came out some of the families of the slain police officers have actually come forward and adopted their namesakes in a lovely perhaps romantic gesture. Watch the video below to learn about how these little puppies are helping to ease the pain for the police officers families.
