These Clever Russian Dogs Are Baffling Researchers With Their Intelligence

Man’s best friends have always been thought to possess a human age of around 3 to 4 years, in mental terms. This however seems to be contradicted by events in Russia where it seems that the stray dogs have managed to learn and adapt in order to survive and even prosper.

Evidence now shows that not only do they know the best places in the city to go to get food, but they have also mastered how to get around using the public transport system. Other things they have mastered include things such as understanding and even obeying the traffic signals, and even employing various tactics in an attempt to procure food from human beings. One of these tactics is to bark, as people carrying food pass them buy, in the hope that the people will be shocked and drop the food. So it would seem that dogs are significantly more intelligent than we gave them credit for, either that or they are adapting more quickly.
