It is estimated that up to 40% of all women who are dealing with domestic abuse do not leave because of their pets. That is an alarming number, but it shows the commitment that many people have for their animals. Those animals also are committed to their humans, as can be seen by the example of this great Dane who saved the life of his human.
This woman was being abused by her boyfriend but when the great Dane came into the room and saw what was happening, he got on top of her and took the abuse himself. He was then thrown off the porch into a busy street. Fortunately, the human victim was also able to escape.
