It can be quite a harrowing experience to be inside of a house that is on fire. If you are able to survive the experience, you will not only have a story to tell but you have a lot to be thankful for as well. That is not only true of humans but even dogs have the same experience at times.
In Parksville, Maryland, an apartment building was on fire and firefighters worked to put the fire out and rescue anyone involved. Fortunately, they were able to get the fire out quickly and they were also able to save this adorable dog at the same time. As he was being carried from the scene, someone managed to snap a shot of what was taking place and it caught something that was rather unusual. The dog had a huge smile on his face!
First responders, including firefighters, put their lives on the line in many cases to save others. It is a heroic job and we should be appreciative of what they do for us. Regardless of whether they are saving our lives or the lives of those we love, we can be happy they are there.
